Our Website sets some essential cookies which store no personal data and serve to accommodate core functions of the Website, such as the ability to review articles and to set your cookie consent preferences.
PHPSESSID cookie (PHPSESSID): The “Helpful” plugin which this Website uses to allow for users to anonymously review our Advice and FAQ articles sets the PHPSESSID cookie. It sets this cookie in order to know during the time you are browsing through our Website what Advice and FAQ articles you have reviewed. The cookie does this by storing a serialised string of characters in your browser. At the hand of this unique serialised string of characters, the “Helpful” plugin can check whether you have reviewed an Advice and FAQ article or not. This session cookie is removed at the end of a browser session, in other words when you close your browser window. As such, this “session cookie” as they are known as, is strictly temporary (i.e. limited to the length of your browser session) and contains no personal information.
Helpful_user cookie (helpful_user): This cookie is used by the “Helpful” plugin to check whether an Advice and FAQ article has been reviewed. It is similar to the PHPSESSID cookie, in that it stores a serialised string of characters in your browser to help check whether the user of the browser has reviewed an Advice or FAQ article on the Website. However, unlike the PHPSESSID, the helpful_user cookie is not removed at the end of your browser’s session and is instead stored in the browser for 1 month. This means that, even though you leave the Website and close your browser, when you return within a month to the Website, it will remember what Advice and FAQ articles you have reviewed. Reviews submitted through the “Helpful” plugin are anonymous, and this cookie stores no personal information.
GDPR Consent Banner preference cookie (moove_gdpr_popup): This cookie simply records your cookie consent preferences (e.g. whether you allowed third party cookies) once you’ve interacted with our cookie consent banner. It stores the cookie consent preference in your browser for 1 year. This cookie stores no personal information.
Gdpr_reset cookie (gdpr_reset): This cookie is a simple “true” or “false” cookie that the Website sets into your browser to verify if your cookie consent is reset when we update this Cookie Policy. This cookie stores no personal information and has an expiry date of 1 year.
Every time you visit this website the cookie consent manager will pop up, and the browser will not know when you've already reviewed an Advice and FAQ article.
