We, at Opinipoll, are not just a bunch of data enthusiasts crunching numbers behind a computer screen – we are also an ethically minded team of individuals, and we’re especially passionate about helping those in the third sector.
Research is a valuable asset for any company. These days, few business-critical decisions are made or should be made without data-driven insight to ensure clarity and confidence. However, we know that not every company or individual has the means to access this insight, and often, these are the people and companies that need it the most. One sector that we feel could benefit greatly from research, but may not always have the resources to, are those in the third sector, such as charities and not for profits. Market research is vital for helping charities better engage with and serve their customers, those who give them the help and support they need to do the good work that they do. And we want to help!
So, this year we are very excited to launch the first of our annual Opinipoll Charity Competitions. Each year, this initiative will give one charity or NFP the opportunity to win a consumer research project of their choosing on us*! This can be any type of consumer research, from Brand Awareness, Understanding your Audience, Thought Leadership or Developing your Products and Marcomms etc. We have worked extensively with many sectors and audiences across the globe and while we specialise in Audience, Brand and Content research, we appreciate that every organisation is different and will work with you to help you get the most out of your project.
We know this last year has had a devastating impact on this sector – 84% of charities reported a shortfall in their income last year**. Now more than ever is a good time to check in, to get to know your supporters and understand how things have changed in the current climate. We can help you hone your data for the key pieces of information you need to plan for a successful year ahead.
To enter for the chance to win a FREE consumer research project, all you need to do is tell us about the project you want to run and how it will help your organisation, using the link below. If you are not entirely sure how we can help, a good place to start is to think about the questions you are desperate to get the answers to, or the answers that would help you make a better, more informed business decision.
If you are part of a charity or not for profit or know a charity/NFP that could use our help, we would love to hear from you.
Please use the link below to enter and answer a few questions to tell us about your idea and how market research can help you or your client.Submit entry
What can the research be used for?
Essentially, anything. Whether you want to conduct audience understanding, charity awareness and health checks, or want to use the research for content creation, as long as you have an idea and the audience can be reached – we can do it for you.
How many questions can we ask?
You can ask up to 20 questions plus up to 5 demographic questions.
When do we have to use the research by?
If you are the lucky winner, we ask you to confirm within 2 weeks, and start the fieldwork within 3 months of the closing date.
What outputs will we receive?
We will offer advice on a fully formed questionnaire, run all of the fieldwork for you and then provide you with Excel data tables, as well as a report in PowerPoint, worth up to £450.
How do we enter?
Simply fill in our entry form by 11:59pm on 26th February 2021 – writing a research brief beforehand may help to answer the questions and hone your audience.
Are there any catches?
Not really. All we ask is that we can use the project as a case study, and write about our shared experience of the project on our website blog and social media.
And what does ‘hone is where the art is’ actually mean, is it a typo?
Not a typo, just a little pun. You are probably already aware of the famous ‘charity begins at home’ saying. The full phrase is ‘charity begins at home, but should not end there’. Our home is market research, and we do not want our charity to end here, we want to help charities ‘hone’ their ideas, strategy or audience understanding so that they can reach more, raise more and help more.
You have until midnight (11:59pm) on 26th February to enter. The winners will be announced no later than 12th March (within 14 days of closing).
We look forward to hearing from you!
